Lookie here, YG Entertainment wants our attention again. As much as we’d like to take YG’s latest artist announcements with a grain of salt, we can’t help but feel a tiny glimmer of hope. …Very tiny.[post_ad]
After declaring on February 1 that their wildly successful rookie soloist Lee Hi was projected to drop an album in March, the next day her agency reps followed up with news that her agency sunbaes 2NE1 and G-Dragon were also expecting to release studio albums in the same month.
That’s some big talk, YG, considering well… everything.
In a statement to the press, which seems to serve as an explanation for the timely release from Lee Hi despite the many missed release dates for YG’s veteran groups, YG representatives said that their rookies are managed directly by CEO Yang Hyun Suk for three years. “After that, he lets them be self-reliant and entrusts them with the responsibility.”
Hmmm….
Do you have any hope left in you for the release of three studio albums from three different YG artists next month?
